In the city center of Abu Dhabi is the Khalidiyah Mall with about 160 stores, which is one of the largest malls in the metropolis. You can go strolling there wonderfully and there is also a large selection.
Visit the Khalidiyah Mall in Abu Dhabi
So a visit there is always recommended and very convenient is the location near the Corniche. If you want to go for a walk there in the evening, for example, then it is worth visiting this shopping center. It is a somewhat older mall that was opened in 2007 but is still up to date and has many visitors.
Certainly an advantage of tourists is that there the prices are perhaps a little cheaper. Usually the most visited are the Yas Mall and the Marina Mall. Since there are not so many tourists there, you can often make a bargain. This shopping center is rather visited by the residents of Abu Dhabi and there are also products that are not available elsewhere. So always an insider tip.

Address and location
The best way to get there is by taxi and the drivers know the way very well. If you have a rental car then there is a large parking garage in the Khalidiyah Mall with 2,500 parking spaces where you can park safely. Furthermore, there is a large Lulu Hypermarket where you can buy groceries and you will be amazed how large the supermarkets are in the United Arab Emirates.
The sales area of the mall is 74,000 square meters and this has been extended and enlarged several times as the visitors became more and more. If you stay overnight in the Emirates Palace, for example, then it is not very far to this mall and a shopping trip is always worthwhile. One must know that this shopping center has a very central location.

What should you shop there with prices
You can buy there practically everything you want from clothes, electronics, shoes and much more. Very nice and also big are the department stores of Debenhams and BHS where you can always find something. With the prices you should always get an overview before you buy something. Mostly clothing is very cheap when there are offers. The latest electronic items are of course also available, but often they are not much cheaper than in Germany and then it is not worth buying.
Recommendation:
There are always good deals on clothingShould you buy electronics items there:
As a rule, this is not worthwhile
Is there also a food court
If you are hungry then there are numerous restaurants in the food court where you can eat and drink something. This is certainly interesting for tourists who have booked only breakfast in the hotel. So you have the possibility to eat cheap in the evening. Of course, there are also the international fast food chains with a branch available.
What can you eat there:
Burger with fries
Pizza
Arabic dishes
Our opinion
A visit to the Khalidiyah Mall is always recommended and the choice of big shopping centers is getting bigger and bigger in Abu Dhabi. Money exchange is also possible in the mall where you can exchange Euros into Dirham. There is also a pharmacy if you need a medicine. Regularly there are also events that you can visit. As it is common in most shopping malls in the Emirates, there is also a large cinema where you can watch the latest movies.
